Run during the summer months, this is a series of grass roots wakeboard events with the emphasis on fun and involvement. Aimed at the local riding community, the divisions are based on a combination of age and ability so all riders of all levels have a chance to compete against each other. While providing a pathway to improvement for younger riders these events are also a chance to get together for an afternoon of fun with your mates. Events are run on Sunday afternoons and go from 3pm to dark. Podium prizes are awarded at the completion of each contest and all there is a free sausage sizzle for all those competing. The Cafe & Bar stays open till late.
Divisions include
Grom Girls Under 10s, Grom Boys under 10, Rookie Girls, Rookie Boys, Ladies Intermediate and Open, Mens Intermediate, Advanced and Open, Wakeskate, “Dodgy Dads”, and the “Coffee and Cakers”
The contest will be a jam style format with all entrants all riding together at the one time. Obstacles are scored in sections and air tricks in between towers 4 and 5 of the course
This summer events are planned for Oct 20, Dec 8, Feb 2 and April 13 in 2024/2025. Grass Roots events are always on Sunday afternoons with a start time of 3pm
Entry fee is $30 for all divisions
